I wish the world were more like the pole community.

I love our pole community

I have been a pole dancing instructor for several years now and I have met many wonderful people in all the pole studios out there. If I could put everybody in one room and look around, it would truly be an amazing sight:

Young girls, middle aged women and mature women and men, all dancing together to the same tune and enjoying themselves.  A career woman, a stripper, a wealthy house mom, a waitress, all melting together, no judgement, we are all friends here. I don’t think we would ever meet each other if it wasn’t for the pole studio or if we ever met we probably wouldn’t call each other a friend.  I can have a gymnast, a cancer survivor, a dancer, young mother out of shape in the same class, and they are all helping each other achieve their own pole fitness goal, no matter if it’s their first spin, an invert or a crazy pole trick. Women, men, gay, straight, bisexual, who cares, we are all close and don’t distinguish. American, Mexican, Eastern European, Filipino, Chinese, Indian... we might not be from the same place, we grew up in very different environments, but the pole world brought us all together and we all seem to understand each other. It’s amazing to me, coming from a little town in the Czech Republic how many new friends I have found through the love of pole fitness. African-American, Latino, Asian, White... you name it, we are all here dancing around the same pole together. Sometimes I do wonder why is there still racism and antisemitism in the world. If an ultra-religious Jewish woman, a Catholic, a Muslim, a Buddhist, an Atheist can be friends in a pole class, they can be in one room supporting each other and cheering each other on, why can’t we all live in harmony?!

Our pole dancing world is truly amazing.

I wish the world were more like the pole community.
